    "A Lighthouse Manifesto"

    Greetings,
We would like to take this opportunity to reach out to everyone of our family members of IBC. In a time when many are dealing with a variety of concerns in their lives, and while many are enduring the storms and continuing to worship and fellowship, some of us are having a more difficult time then others and therefore have ceased to fellowship, it is therefore with this in mind that we reach out to everyone within the fold with the love of Christ."
Someone may feel like no one cares, others many feel like my "absences don't matter" especially if no one has reach out to them in a reasonable time frame. Someone is recovering from illness, another from loss of employment or someone else from the loss of a loved one, while others may have been hurt within the walls. We all have different kinds of hurts and losses in our lives and need healing from time to time.
So, as the Lord spoke to us through our Pastor in a message about "The Good Samaritan" parable, our desire is to fulfill God's purpose and encourage one another in the faith. The enemies' desire is to steal, kill and destroy, St. John 10:10a, but Christ wants us to have a more abundant life -- not just with stuff, but having joy, love, peace, hope and more. We need to do as the Good Samaritan did:

    • Stop -- Take some time to care for someone else.
    • Stoop -- Humble ourselves and show some compassion for others
    • Save -- Share the love and mercy of Christ with everyone (The Gospel)
    • Serve -- Do something to make a difference in their life and you'll be blessed

Min. Kevin Gresham II, Young Adult Ministry Leader

Kevin V. Gresham II was born in Baltimore, Maryland to Bishop Kevin Gresham Sr. and Lady Denise Gresham. As Kevin furthered his walk with Christ he began serving in his father's ministry at the Greater Saint John Church as the youth director and young adult director; he even appeared as the guest speaker at a number of engagements.

As a follower of Christ, Kevin knows that his assignment is to spread the gospel to those who are lost and those who are faced with tremendous adversity. For this reason, Kevin has devoted spending his time encouraging people and letting them know that''...all things work together for the good of those who love God; those who are called according to His purpose.'' - Romans 8:28

Youth Ministry

Youth Ministry
Mission Statement
Our goal is to build and empower youth who will retain their integrity. We will help them develop a relationship with Christ, by establishing Christian moral and principles, while making the word of God applicable in everyday life.

2017 Motto
“Connect, Grow, Belong”
Roman 12: 1-2 Mark 12: 29-31 1 Peter 4:10-11

Purpose
To train our youth to walk in truth and obedience to the Bible, to teach them to worship and honor Christ in all aspects of their lives, then for them to demonstrate a willingness and an attitude for work in the ministry of Christ, which will then lead to an outward difference in their lives and the winning of souls to Christ, and finally this will come full circle by welcoming more youth into Christian fellowship and discipleship.

Walk-“Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” (Matthew 28:20)

Worship - The Psalmist said, “Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.” (Psalms 29:2)

Work -Jesus again commands his disciples, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)

Witness - "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise."Proverbs 11:30 (KJV) Welcome Others –, Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God. Romans 15:7(KJV)
