Life is full of so many choices and daily we choose from one thing or another, whether good or bad we make them. We choose to get up or stay in bed; we love or hate, work or rest and ultimately live or die. Someone might well say that, that's not true; in some things we don't have a choice in the matter. There are some things that we can't control, yet there are circumstances that if we make right or better choices, can have a better outcome for us and others. There are paths that we have already been laid and traveled. Therefore, if we should choose to follow them, life can be experienced with a lot less heartache.
Listening is one aspect of life that can help us in making better choices, In that, if we listen we can learn and in doing so take time to process what is being shared to make sound choices getting as much information as possible for the best choices.
Trusting is another aspect of importance in making- choices that if one can't or does not trust the source of the information, then it will be difficult to make good choices. So in being able to trust the source one can have confidence or reliance in the potential outcome.
Evidence is another aspect that helps one in making choices. Such evidence can prove a fact about something or someone. This evidence can prove or disprove what one is attempting to validate. Therefore evidence can give credence to the point being proven.
And if it seems evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye shall serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15
As the Lord spoke and Joshua engaged and challenged the people a choice had to be made after all the Lord had done for them. Their fathers served other gods on the other side; they're in the land of the Amorites given by God to them. They have a choke to put away the gods of that land and serve the God who has delivered, provided and preserved them. So as he did with the children Israel; we've come a long ways thru another year and the Lord has been good to us. So as then I say to you now lest we forget what the Lord hath done. Choose ye this day whom ye will serve.
Who will you choose to serve this day? I would love to hear from you.
